Students participating in the “Four Seasons” performance of the International Language and Culture Festival (IFLC), currently in Texas, USA, visited Texas State Representative Sheryl Cole in the capital, Austin. The young talents toured the State Legislature in Austin and held a small performance in the building.
Texas State Representative Sheryl Cole hosted 23 out of the approximately 70 students from 25 countries in her office at the state legislature building.
Representative Cole chatted with the students she hosted in the state legislature building for some time. After individually meeting the participating students, she addressed them, saying, “We are very happy to see you in our legislature.” Representative Cole engaged in extended conversation with the students, listening to their stories about their own cultures and countries.
During the visit, the students presented gifts from their countries to Representative Cole. She also took a commemorative photo with the students.
After the visit, the students performed a mini-show consisting of three songs in the legislature. Representative Cole accompanied the students throughout the entire performance.
Following the show, the students presented gifts from their countries to spectators who came from various legislative offices. The IFLC’s young talents then toured the Capitol building, taking plenty of commemorative photos in the historic building.
The young talents will be performing in Houston today at 7:45 p.m. local time.
