While the CHP, which won a solo, alliance-free victory in the local elections, was expected to challenge for power, different alignments occurred in Ankara. The crack came from within the ruling power.
The MHP, holding critical positions in the police, and the AKP, allowing no leeway in the judiciary, engaged in a political struggle through two cases: Ayhan Bora Kaplan and Sinan AteÅŸ investigations.
In fact, both cases are largely illuminated. Since the intent is not this, a fight is occurring through the political centers of the investigations between the MHP and AKP.
The parties are not “playing roles” in this matter. Being forced and doomed to stay in power with the current coalition does not prevent conflict. Also, remember, such a long-lasting coalition has not been seen before in the political history of Turkey.
It has been observed that partners, who have been kicking each other under the table for months, now feel no need to hide it. Whereas, until recently, problems were not openly discussed, and issues were sweetened through leaders’ meetings.
Both ErdoÄŸan and Bahçeli have so far not allowed any criticism of the People’s Alliance, dispelling rumors of “incompatibility, they are divorcing” every time.
While the AKP side still communicates in this tone, the MHP members began to wag their fingers, and Bahçeli’s statement “Do not upset our buttermilk, do not test our patience” is not a minor roar.

The MHP Headquarters expresses its discomfort quite clearly while the AKP keeps the Sinan AteÅŸ investigation hot, pursuing a more insidious policy. Especially leaking information and documents to the “opposition” media and emptying the content of the indictment was directly the Palace. Bahçeli targeting Halk TV, Sözcü, and Now TV is because of this.
It went unnoticed, but Bahçeli, saying “Masked Communist tactics,” referred to the old leftists in the Palace. By saying, “We will shatter those who test our soft spot,” he actually confessed how they were trapped in the Sinan AteÅŸ case.

In the nearly 8-year AKP-MHP coalition, two things happened simultaneously: the state became mafia-like, and the mafia became state-like. ErdoÄŸan, playing the game he knows best, loaded this sin of the regime onto his partner. The free rein of gangs, murders, extortions, threats, and such cadre formations were skillfully and consciously subcontracted to the MHP.
With Süleyman Soylu being removed from the Ministry of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, who fights against the mafia, conducting operations almost every day, and not letting the gangs breathe, has evolved into a “successful” minister.
Erdoğan had the Sinan Ateş indictment written as Bahçeli wanted, but the files not included there were served to the media, breaking rating records and becoming public.
Even before the trial began, the MHP Headquarters was convicted. The Grey Wolves have never been as terrorized as they are now.

The murder of Sinan AteÅŸ is a cold political murder, the instigators are in the Ãœlkü Ocakları and the MHP Headquarters, among Bahçeli’s staff. It’s a significant case, and if the independent judiciary works properly, it could go as far as a case to shut down the party.
The deep concern in MHP is because of this. They are fighting a battle of existence. Bahçeli’s statement “The Republic was not established in the ballot box, Turkish history was not written in the ballot box” was not correctly interpreted.

For the past week, these questions have been wondered:
-Is the Palace liquidating MHP?
-If not, is the weight in power being reduced?
-Has Erdoğan grown tired of Bahçeli and is looking for a new partner?
-Is an alliance with CHP possible, would Özgür Özel give ministers to the cabinet?
-If MHP does not submit to the Palace’s blackmail and demands an election, what happens?
-If Bahçeli gives a “head” like the Olcay Kılavuz example, will the crisis be sweetened?

You can multiply the questions. These are the main topics of discussion. Let’s start from the end:
According to claims, Eray ÖzyaÄŸcı, the triggerman for the Sinan AteÅŸ murder, was taken out of the city by Tolga DemirbaÅŸ, who hid him at his home, and when the police came to get him, Olcay Kılavuz (who was the MHP Mersin MP at that time and had immunity) said last weekend, “You go, let your owner come,” was removed from his consultancy position in the TBMM. Unauthorized speaking to Halk TV was cited as the reason. Maybe this was the last straw, we don’t know. However, Bahçeli’s attitude will only be limited to this, “You wanted a head, I ended his duty. That’s all.” We should not expect more.
Otherwise, if Olcay Kılavuz is to be taken, a dozen people from the management of MHP and Ãœlkü Ocakları should also be listed. But that’s not the issue. The Sinan AteÅŸ investigation is a knife stuck in MHP and only a weapon for the Palace to irritate whenever it gets annoyed.
ErdoÄŸan has no intention of solving the murder, he is just using it (like other political assassinations.)
If you evaluate and comment on the question this way, the other questions above become meaningless. Nevertheless, the knife has entered the body once.
