The Russian Ministry of Defense has received a new batch of fifth-generation Su-57 and 4++ generation Su-35S fighter jets, produced by United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The Su-57 and Su-35S fighter jets were initially handed over to Russian military units in early September. The delivery of these Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces is seen as part of the country’s efforts to modernize its military power and prepare for future wars. This development is viewed as a concrete step in Russia’s strategy to strengthen its air power by utilizing advanced technology in its defense industry.
Sergei Chemezov, CEO of Rostec, stated that the Su-57 is equipped with low observability and advanced defense systems, making it highly effective in combat. He also emphasized that the Su-57 continues to be developed by incorporating operational experience. He highlighted that the Su-57 is an innovative fighter aircraft capable of using the world’s most modern weapons.
Before delivery, the aircraft underwent rigorous factory tests and were evaluated by Ministry of Defense pilots in different operational modes.
Vadim Badekha, CEO of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), noted that the Su-57 possesses all the characteristics of a fifth-generation fighter and that the interest shown in the aircraft at the Zhuhai Airshow reflects its global recognition. A new batch of these jets is expected to be delivered by the end of the year, further strengthening Russia’s air power.
The export version of the Su-57 is also set for its world premiere in China in the near future.
The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) received the first delivery of the new Su-57 and Su-35S fighter jets from United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) on September 12. However, the exact number of new fighter jets delivered to the Russian military has not yet been disclosed.
UAC, which is part of Rostec, announced that the delivered aircraft had successfully undergone a complete factory test cycle and were tested in various operational modes. After testing, the aircraft flew to their respective air bases.
Rostec representatives have confirmed that the production of the Su-57 will be expanded, and a new facility will be built to test fifth-generation aircraft systems. UAC President Yuri Slyusar stated that the Su-57 is Russia’s most modern frontline fighter jet and emphasized that the number of such aircraft will increase every year.
Vladimir Artyakov, Rostec’s deputy CEO, mentioned that the delivered aircraft were highly praised by pilots for their excellent flight performance. It was also stated that the Su-57 and Su-35S have the capacity to achieve outstanding success in various operational tasks.
