The Second Justice Meeting to Take Place on June 20, Victims to March to ECHR

Victims will gather in front of the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg on Tuesday, June 20 at 11:00 to raise awareness about severe human rights violations in Turkey.

The second Justice Meeting, organized by the Peaceful Actions Platform, will be held in front of the ECHR in Strasbourg on Tuesday, June 20. Thousands of people are expected to participate in the demonstration to address human rights violations in Turkey and once again call for justice from the ECHR.

As the ongoing violations of rights continue to gain attention worldwide, the victims seek recourse in the European Court of Human Rights due to the politicization of the Turkish judiciary. However, the slow process of the court has sparked criticism. Thousands of people who want to draw attention to the seriousness of the situation will make a call for justice at the ECHR.

The action will begin with a march from in front of the Council of Europe. The march, accompanied by slogans demanding justice, will continue until it reaches the front of the Court, where a letter will be presented to the President of the ECHR, urging immediate action for the victims in Turkey and the prompt establishment of delayed justice.

Various activities will be organized on the platform set up in front of the ECHR. Artists Süvari, Grifon, Berkuş, Ercan Aydın, and Metin Haboğlu will perform concerts and express the injustices through songs.

The event will be attended by thousands of victims from all over Europe, as well as some renowned European parliamentarians and surprise guests.

After the events of July 15, the suspension of the rule of law caused suffering for millions of people. Invalid evidence, dismissals without investigation, closures of institutions, suppression of the press, and many other unlawful practices have not faded from Turkey’s agenda even after seven years.
