Timeline of Events
- Öztürk Uzun and Colleague Abducted: Two individuals, including Öztürk Uzun, were abducted while driving to work. After failing to arrive at the office, colleagues reported their disappearance to the police, who later found their vehicle but had no further information on their whereabouts.
- Mustafa Genç and His Son Kidnapped: Mustafa Genç, a respected community figure, was abducted alongside his high-school-aged son, Abdullah, while driving with his family. Five armed, masked individuals stopped the car and forcibly removed Genç and his son, leaving his wife and two younger children in shock.
- Necdet Seyitoğlu’s Disappearance: Seyitoğlu was also abducted after his car was stopped. Police located his vehicle but were unable to provide more details. Seyitoğlu’s fate remains uncertain.
- Alparslan Taşçı Detained During Driving Exam: In a chilling incident, Taşçı and his wife were handcuffed and taken by individuals claiming to be intelligence agents during a driving exam. Despite protests from exam officials, the agents removed the couple from the scene.
Current Status:
As of now, some progress has been made, with Saadet Taşçı, Abdullah Genç, and British national Necdet Seyitoğlu released. However, four individuals remain in custody, with intelligence agents believed to be behind the abductions. Abdullah, 17, has shared his harrowing experience in a video, shedding light on the ordeal. Another colleague narrowly escaped an abduction attempt by fleeing the scene in his vehicle.
